I would rather stick to doing that -- just using the one "magic" speeding-up update, as long as it is possible, rather than install a big roll-up patch of several updates, Unlike pre Vista Windows OS's you can customize each folder you make on your desktop, unless I missed something somewhere along the line... I do want to update now, to install the valid and approved security updates that were issued in July (and of course that were issued in August). Once it was on, it wouldn't recognize any USB.
