So unless you'd like to become an Internet recluse, it looks like, for now, there's not much you can do to avoid malvertising altogether. I also recommend either burning an Avast rescue disc, or Kaspersky's Rescue Disk 10 to scan outside of the operating system environment - this would be the final acid test.
